New Feature Alert: CostStreams now supports CostLabels!

Today we’re excited to announce the general availability release of CostLabels, a lightweight virtual-tagging layer built directly into our CostStreams architecture. The new feature gives engineering, finance, and FinOps teams an effortless way to overlay business context on cloud costs—without touching native Coststreams, tagging, or refactoring the way costs are organized for showback.
A Simpler Layer for Richer Insight

CostLabels function as Layer-2 virtual tags, enabling users to quickly categorize, annotate, and group costs with zero code, zero redeployments, and zero risk. While cost allocation has historically been a very technical practice only done by seasoned FinOps and engineering leaders, the need for dynamic cloud cost contextualization has dramatically increased over the years.
One of the reasons we love this feature is its so simple, anyone should be able to use it. If you can put a sticky note on something, you can use Cost Labels. Point, click, pick your color, and then go put that label on any layer of the coststreams flow. CostLabels also allow you to classify cost centers into multiple buckets at once, allowing better cross team & cross function cloud cost reporting and collaboration.
Cost Labels are now available to all North customers at no additional cost. Existing clients can enable the feature directly inside their CostStreams interface.
